The LST and MAGIC collaborations have analyzed the gamma rays emitted by OP 313, allowing scientists to study the diffuse extragalactic background light and better understand the physical processes taking place in the environment of its supermassive black hole. The study, co-led by the Institute of Astrophysics of Andalusia (IAA-CSIC), helps to better understand how the universe and the light that passes through it have evolved over time.
