Dr. José Augusto Berrocal, Group Leader, and Dr. Felipe Garcés Pineda, Postdoctoral Researcher, from the Institute of Chemical Research of Catalonia (ICIQ) have been selected to receive the prestigious Ramón y Cajal fellowships from the 2024 call, one of the most competitive in the Spanish scientific system.
These fellowships, funded by the Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities/AEI (DOI 10.13039/501100011033) and the European Social Fund+, aim to promote the incorporation of outstanding researchers and support their long-term integration into centres of research excellence. The contracts last five years and include resources to develop independent research projects.
With this recognition, ICIQ strengthens its commitment to cutting-edge research and the promotion of scientific talent. We would also like to congratulate several former ICIQ members who were selected in this call: Dr. Marcos Gil Sepulcre, Dr. Joaquín Soriano López, Dr. Sara Goberna Ferrón, Dr. Sara Cuadros Huertas, and Dr. José Manuel Marín Beloqui.
Congratulations to all of them for this achievement and for continuing to advance science from different institutions. At ICIQ, we are proud to be part of your scientific journey.
