PhD position in Cancer Heterogeneity

A PhD position is available in the laboratory of Dr Maria Vivanco at CIC bioGUNE in Bilbao, Spain. The main objective of the group is to gain further understanding of the molecular mechanisms regulating breast cancer heterogeneity and cancer stem cells during development of resistance to hormone therapy, with the final aims of (1) identifying and characterising biomarkers of resistance to therapy and (2) progressing our insight into cancer stem cells as new therapeutic targets in breast cancer.
