Postdoctoral Fellow in the Oocyte Biology & Cellular Dormancy Lab

Application deadline:

In humans, oocytes live up to 40-60 years and yet retain the ability to give rise to a newborn. We are interested in deciphering the mechanisms that protect oocytes from ageing. Successful candidates will join the Oocyte Biology & Cellular Dormancy Group on a project funded by a 2017 ERC Starting Grant.  The selected candidate will investigate the pathways that keep early stage oocytes in mammals healthy. The successful candidate/s would join in one of the two open research directions in the lab: Mitochondrial homeostasis or cytoplasmic proteostasis in oocytes, including physiological amyloids.
