DESCRIPTION

IMDEA Energy is opening a Laboratory Technician position for the Thermochemical Processes Unit and Advanced Porous Materials Unit, looking for talented and motivated candidates to work on the Catalysts based on metal organic frameworks (MOFs) and zeolites for catalytic applications in the MAD VUELA SOSTENIBLE project. In particular, the MAD VUELA SOSTENIBLE, a project granted by the Regional Government of Madrid, aims to research on new technologies to produce sustainable aviation fuels (SAF) with a low carbon footprint from wastes.

The requirements are as follows:

Tasks Description:

Large scale synthesis of catalysts using different synthetic methods (e.g. solvothermal, microwaves).
Full characterization of the catalysts using a large panel of techniques.
Supporting catalytic testing
General lab and equipment maintenance
Stock management and consumables purchasing
Analysis of the results and writing of reports.


REQUIREMENTS

Compulsory Requirements

To be in possession of a Higher-Level Training Cycle Degree in Chemistry or equivalent.

Merits to value:

Knowledge and experience in chemistry, material synthesis (inorganic and coordination chemistry) and characterization (XRD, spectroscopies, microscopies, TGA, etc.).
Knowledge and experience in heterogenous catalysis
Good organizational and communicative competences
Appreciated English communication skills.

CONDITIONS

Remuneration: Depending upon qualification and expertise.
