The Barcelona Institute for Global Health (ISGlobal) is a cutting-edge institute addressing global public health challenges through research, translation into policy and education. ISGlobal has a broad portfolio in communicable and non-communicable diseases including environmental and climate determinants, and applies a multidisciplinary scientific approach ranging from the molecular to the population level. WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
We are seeking a full-time Data Manager and Web Developer to join the Biostatistics and Data Management Unit (UBIOESGD) at ISGlobal. The successful candidate will contribute to data management and technical development across diverse research projects within the institution.

TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE / QUALIFICATIONS
- Degree in Computer Engineering or Engineering with a high programming component
- Previous experience in data management and use of data repositories.
- Experience in the process and management of research data, preferably RedCap
- Experience with programming languages, preferably R and/or Python.
- Experience in programming web applications with Shiny
- Experience working with health-related data.
- Organizational and work capacity in interdisciplinary groups.
- Ability to work by objectives, adjusting to established delivery times.
- Good written and oral communication skills.

KEY RESPONSABILITIES
- Data Management: Draft Data Management Plans, set up and maintain data collection systems and projects (e.g., REDCap), and perform data cleaning during project execution.
- Data Curation: Support data curation, preservation, and publication in ISGlobal’s repository.
- Technical Contributions: Contribute to web development, web scraping, machine learning, and data visualization tasks.

The candidate will consistently work closely with the UBIOESGD team and researchers to provide effective support for assigned projects.
