• Implement an environmental policy by developing strategies and opportunities for improvement to activate this facet in the research community.
• Develop the sustainability plan available at the center, focusing especially on sustainable practices during research tasks.
• Implement measures in laboratory equipment and lighting systems, aimed at greater efficiency in the use of energy, as well as using renewable energy sources.
• Analyze the environmental impact of the scientific processes carried out in the center.
• Coordinate the integral management of waste in laboratories and scientific facilities (banal and hazardous) with the authorized manager, as well as monitor the activities that generate them in order to minimize their impact.
• Organize training and awareness plans for the research community in relation to respect for the environment and sustainability.
• Update current waste management procedures in laboratories and develop new documentary resources to optimize their management.
• Prepare environmental reports and keep the waste production registry up to date.
• Monitoring and reviewing compliance with environmental legislation applicable to scientific facilities.
• Periodic visits to laboratories to verify good practices, respect for segregation rules and optimal management of waste generated in them.
