Laboratory Assistant at the Nanobioengineering Research Group

Introduction to the vacant position:

The Nanobioengineering Group at IBEC is seeking a Laboratory Assistant to contribute to the “Bioengineering for personalized pediatric oncology” research line. This position will be part of the project Developing Advanced Bioprinted Models for Studying Metastatic Osteosarcoma Drug Responses (OSTEOPRINT), funded under the BIST Ignite Programme, 7th Edition Call.

The project is led by Dr. Aránzazu Villasante at IBEC and Dr. Ángel Nebreda at IRB

Main tasks and responsibilities:

-Bioprinting
-Bioinks fabrication: Fabricate and validate bioinks
-Experiment support: Assist researchers with experiments such as microscopy, and cell culture.
-Data management: Organize and prepare experimental results for the Principal Investigator.
-Project coordination: Manage project-related emails and communications.

Requirements for candidates:

Essential:

-Experience in Bioprinting and biomaterials fabrication
-Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
-Strong time-management skills
-Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with a high level of English

Advantageous:

-Experience in LCD based 3D-printers
-Experience in COMSOL simulation
-Experience in molecular biology
-Expertise in confocal microscopy and imaging.
-Experience in cell culture

Working conditions:
-Full time approximately 5-months contract. Open-ended contract due to technical and scientific activities linked to the project and budget duration
