Postdoctoral candidate interested in applying for a MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowship in Preclinical MRI

Are you a postdoctoral researcher thinking about your next career move? The Marie Sklodowska-Curie Postdoctoral Fellowships are a great option if you are an experienced researcher looking to give your career a boost by working abroad. Institute of Neurosciences of the University of Barcelona allows you to work in a first class research environment while benefitting from an attractive salary to cover living, travel and family costs.

Group and project information
Applicants will be integrated into the research group “Brain Connectivity and Neuroimaging Lab”; (P.I.Guadalupe Soria).
The Brain Connectivity and Neuroimaging Lab (BCN lab) is a multidisciplinary team of enthusiastic researchers investigating how brain connectivity changes in the different phases of neurodegeneration, particularly in its early stages, aiming to develop more effective therapies. Additionally, we are deeply interested in understanding the complex brain circuitry mechanisms underlying cognitive reserve and brain resilience, with the aim of enhancing them and potentially mitigate the prevalence of age-related dementia. To bridge the gap between MRI-based brain connectivity and neurobiology, we employ animal models like the TgF344-AD rats. This approach allows us to collect extensive data, in the same subjects, that covers behavioral, functional, and structural connectivity, as well as neurochemical insights, with particular emphasis on understanding neuroinflammatory and neuroplasticity processes.
