Research Collaborator – X-Ray spectroscopy at the X-Rays for inorganic biochemistry laboratory

We are currently accepting applications for the above mentioned position. This is a unique opportunity for junior researchers with a recent PhD degree in Physics or related fields to join one of DIPC’s high-profile research teams.

The role
The Donostia International Physics Center DIPC is currently accepting applications for a postdoc position to develop strategies to extend the use of Anomalous Small Angle X-ray Scattering (ASAXS) from liquid environments to 2D solid by implementing spatially resolved scanning strategies during the acquisition.

Ultimately, this is aimed to acquire spatially resolved ASAXS from tissue samples or similar treated with Nanoparticles to determine ex vivo and in situ their location, and any changes in their structure, which is vital to maintain their targeting, therapeutic and diagnostic properties.

Desired background & competences
Previous experience in X-ray imaging or spectroscopy, X-ray or neutron scattering, are particularly welcome.
