The work, led by the Institute of Astrophysics of Andalusia (IAA-CSIC), offers a new physical reconstruction of the mega-outburst of the comet that surprised the world in 2007. It is also the first study to offer a complete compilation of all documented outbursts of 17P/Holmes since its discovery in 1892.
