ICIQ has been accredited as a TECNIO technology transfer agent by ACCIÓ for the 2025–2028 period. This is a quality seal granted by the Government of Catalonia through the Agency for Business Competitiveness (ACCIÓ) to identify and give visibility to the technology transfer agents within Catalonia’s R&D&I system that possess distinctive technological capabilities and the ability to transfer them, in order to strengthen the business fabric and make Catalonia’s innovation ecosystem internationally attractive.
“This accreditation recognises us as a bridge between cutting-edge science and the real needs of the Catalan business sector. It’s an opportunity to continue collaborating with industry and generate tangible impact,” says Sergio Sopeña, Business Development Manager.
Thanks to this accreditation, companies can easily and effectively identify those universities, research centres, and other entities that could become potential collaborators, through patent acquisition or exploitation, R&D&I project contracting, or connections with spin-offs.
At the same time, accredited technology transfer agents like ICIQ benefit from various advantages when undertaking collaborative projects with Catalan companies.
In fact, knowledge and technology transfer (KTT) with the chemical, pharmaceutical, and energy sectors lies at the core of ICIQ’s mission. In this way, the research carried out at the centre can have a direct impact on people’s quality of life.
