José María García Morillo and Cristian Pozo González, predoctoral researchers from the VHEGA group at the Institute of Astrophysics of Andalusia (IAA-CSIC), have been selected as finalists for the CSIC ACTIVA-T 2026 program. On June 12, they will present “AstroPET” in Santiago de Compostela, a proposal that transfers artificial intelligence techniques developed for astrophysics to the field of medical physics.
