This first batch of RD53A triplet modules fully assembled and characterized at IFAE by the ATLAS pixels group has recently left IFAE to SLAC (United States) for ITk loading testing
The landmark discovery of the Higgs boson at the LHC exactly ten years ago, and the progress made since then to determine its properties, have allowed physicists to make tremendous steps forward in our understanding of the universe.
The Collider Physics Group at IFAE joined the ATLAS collaboration since its inception. For 30 years it has contributed to the design and construction of the experiment and the physics analysis program.
The IFAE Neutrino Group in collaboration with research groups from Birmingham and Geneva published a feasibility study about a calorimeter for proton CT applications in “Physics in Medicine & Biology (PMB) “: “[A novel range telescope concept for proton CT](https://arxiv.org/abs/2109.03452)”.
“[Search for a scalar induced stochastic gravitational wave background in the third LIGO-Virgo observing run](https://arxiv.org/abs/2107.11660)” by Alba Romero-Rodríguez, Mario Martínez, Oriol Pujolàs, et al. has been selected as PRL Editors’ Suggestion.
The Moriond Cosmology took place on January 23-30, La Thuile, Italy. Members of the observational Cosmology group at IFAE contributed to the conference.
The Dark Energy Survey (DES) released on the January 12nd the [Year 3 data products](https://des.ncsa.illinois.edu/releases/y3a2) used for cosmology analysis. A mirror of the Gold galaxy catalog from DES Y3 is now available in [CosmoHub](https://cosmohub.pic.es/home).
The CTA LST telescope is back in operation. After a few weeks dedicated to cleaning the site and checking the telescope subsystems, the first sky data were taken in early February.
