First superconducting flux qubit observed in the QCT lab

The QCT group at IFAE has observed the existence of the first superconducting flux qubit. This is a milestone for the group.These are the kind of chips that are of interest for quantum computing with quantum annealing, quantum optics and detection.

Dark Energy Spectroscopic Instrument (DESI) Creates Largest 3-D Map of the Cosmos

DESI has already mapped out more galaxies than all previous 3-D surveys combined — and it’s just getting started. Several Spanish institutions participate in the project: IFAE, ICE-CSIC, ICCUB, CIEMAT and IFT/UAM.

This paper is a review by the world experts on QG phenomenology, working together in the framework of the Quantum Gravity in the MultiMessenger era (QGMM) COST Action.
