Administrative Accountant -Travel Officer – (Temporary – Maternity Leave)

Context And Mission

Barcelona Supercomputing Center (BSC) is looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Administrative Accountant to join the Accounting Team within the Management Department.

In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring the efficient management of travel-related financial and administrative processes, providing high-quality support to internal stakeholders and contributing to the smooth operation of the department.

You will work in a dynamic and international research environment, collaborating closely with different teams across the organisation while ensuring accuracy, compliance, and excellent service delivery.

Key Duties

Bank liquidations: Manage bank liquidations and reimbursements for staff travels in compliance with regulatory requirements.
Ensure accuracy and completeness of documentation related to travel expenses.
Process account payable invoices and manage documents using SAP or other relevant systems.
Assist in financial and tax audits as needed.
Provide general administrative support to the Accounting team, including scanning processes and internal control of general expenses.


Requirements

Education
Certificate of Higher or Medium Education (CFGM or CFGS/FPI or FPII) within the field of Business Administration or related field.
Essential Knowledge and Professional Experience
Experience in accounting and/or financial administration roles.
Solid skills in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel.
Additional Knowledge and Professional Experience
Knowledge of SAP or similar management systems
Familiarity with accounting and tax systems.
Experience in travel management tasks.
High level of Spanish and English, both oral and written. Catalan will be a plus

The position will be located at BSC within the Management Department
