Context And Mission

In the framework of the R+D+I Networks Programme (AGAUR), the BSC coordinates X4HPC, the Network for the Transfer of High-Performance Computing Technologies to Society. X4HPC is a strategic initiative aimed at boosting the valorization and technological transfer of research results in the field of supercomputing (HPC) across Catalonia.
The network integrates cutting-edge infrastructures, including the MareNostrum 5,
and high-level scientific capacity to drive economic dynamism and technological
sovereignty. X4HPC focuses on sectors such as energy, biomedicine, aerospace, and quantum computing, with a special emphasis on Open Source (software and
hardware) as a vehicle for innovation and social impact.
Reporting to the BSC Technology Transfer Manager, the Business Developer for X4HPC network project will facilitate the exploitation of X4HPC project results by focusing on transferring knowledge and technology developed to the market.


Key Duties

- Business Development: Execute and monitor of the business development and internationalization work plan and milestones of the X4HPC
- Ecosystem Engagement: Be in contact with the European, Spanish and Catalan, Innovation and business deveolpment ecosystem,
Training & Capacity Building: Organize training for researchers on
Business development, Property Rights (IPR), commercialization strategies, licensing, spin off creation skills

Responsibilities:
Carry out the business development tasks described in the X4HPC (2025 XARDI 00012) TECHNOLOGY TRANSFER PROJECT including:
a. Manage X4HPC network focused on business development contacts generation
b. Identify research results coming from the12 research institutions and provide a portfolio of technologies.
c. Attend and organize, meetings and teleconferences with project committees to follow the development of the project
d. Write and contribute to the project deliverables and participate in the identification, selection and development of valoritzation projects inside the network.
