The role
We are looking for a postdoctoral fellow to develop a translational project that involves optimizing and performing high throughput IF/IHC of biopsy and organoid sections using an automated microscope, developing an analysis pipeline for specific cell features and correlating them with cancer outcome and therapy resistance. The candidate must have a proven track record in cancer research and will be invited to apply for the EACR-AstraZeneca Postdoctoral Fellowship, for which no more than 8 years can have elapsed since the Ph.D. defence. However, the lab has secured funding for at least 1 year, so the selected candidate can start anytime from late spring.

Sdelci Group is multicultural, dynamic and welcoming. We are working to unravel the role of nuclear metabolism in cancer, and we are trying to use the information gained in the last 5 years in this field (https://orcid.org/0000-0003-1330-4364) to develop novel anti-cancer strategies.

Whom would we like to hire?
Professional experience
Must Have
Proven track record (with at least 1 first author publication) in cancer research
Proven experience in IF/IHC
Experience working with sections of biopsies or organoids
Basic bioinformatics skils
Ability to perform in vivo experiments (mouse)
Desirable but not required/ Nice to have
Experience in culturing organoids, especially breast cancer organoids
Experience in drug screening
Experience in genetic screening
Experience in cloning
Strong bioinformatics skills, including knowledge of AI
Education and training
You hold a Phd in Biomedicine or related
Languages
You are proficient in English

The Offer – Working Conditions
Contract duration: 1 year with possible renovation
Estimated annual gross salary: Salary is commensurate with qualifications and consistent with our pay scales
