SOMMa representation at Transfiere Forum in Malaga

Transfiere, European Forum for Science, Technology and Innovation, is a professional, multisector forum aimed at knowledge transfer, with a focus on business opportunities and networking. It is one of the biggest events in the south of Europe and it is being celebrated on February 16-17 2022, in Málaga. More than 130 themed panels and conferences afford attendees the chance to get information from relevant sources in science, technology and business.

Furthermore the participation of more than 300 international experts who will discuss European funding for R&D&I projects, new models of entrepreneurship, digital transformation and the transfer of scientific knowledge.

A high representation of SOMMa members from the Community of Madrid will be present through three IMDEA institutes such as NanoscienceMaterials and Energy will have a stand where they will present their latest innovations   in their fields of scientific research. 

One of the many technologies presented at Transfiere arises from a member of our alliance, the Institute of Materials Science of Barcelona (ICMAB-CSIC) a multidisciplinary research center focused on cutting-edge research in functional advanced materials in the fields of ENERGY, ELECTRONICS, NANOMEDICINE and application fields yet to imagine.

These technology are two innovative laser techniques for the advanced fabrication of nanocarbon-based superacapacitors, being developed by Project IP Ángel Pérez, ICMAB Researcher from the Laser Processing Group. 

“Our objective is to develop two fast, versatile, environmentally sustainable, low cost and easy to industrialize technologies for the fabrication of high-performing supercapacitors”, says Ángel Pérez.

At Transfiere, this technology will be presented on the Open Innovation Area, on the Innovative Energy Solutions for Industry, that will take place on Thursday 17 February 2022 at 12 pm, by the hand of ICMAB Knowledge Transfer Officer Alfonso del Rey.

This year, more than 600 companies and innovation driving entities will be represented at the forum, which will resume its international agenda with the presence of 36 countries through technology and science parks, investment funds and consortiums of European universities.

Also in the frame work of Transfiere will take place the on Feb 17th the AEC2 5th Communication Day where our communication manager Lorena Carrillo, will take part this meeting has brought together journalists specialized in scientific and technological communication and companies from the Forum, who wish to improve their communication strategy for four editions within the framework of Transfiere.

The speakers will offer effective guidelines, tools and keys so that those participating companies can work on a more efficient communication of their projects. Personalized reports will be made for those participants who register and send their queries in advance on how to design a communication strategy and improve the dissemination of the innovative activity.
