The Francisco Cobos Foundation granted its 16th Scientific Career Award to the Centro Nacional de Investigaciones Cardiovasculares (CNIC) researcher Dr. José Antonio Enríquez. The prize, endowed with €50,000, has been awarded for his contributions to the study of mitochondrial biogenesis in the functioning of the Mitochondrial respiratory chain and understanding of the mitochondrial pathophysiology and aging.
