DESCRIPTION

IMDEA Energy is opening a Postdoctoral Position between the Electrical Systems and Electrochemical Processes Unit to work on modelling of battery systems for their application in electricity Grid

The requirements are as follows:

Tasks Description:

R&D in battery modelling for grid applications.
Development of a holistic model of battery systems.
Implementation and proof of concept studies in laboratory environment for battery modelling.
Participation in national and international research projects related with battery Grid Integration.
Dissemination and publication of research results in scientific journals.

REQUIREMENTS

Compulsory Requirements

PhD. Title in Electronic or Industrial Engineering, Control Systems, Applied Mathematics, Applied Physics, Physical Chemistry or related disciplines.

Other merits to value:

Solid background in Battery Modelling, Power Electronics, Control Systems and Communication Networks.
Good understanding of System Modelling, Power Networks, Renewable Energy Technologies, IT technologies and Real-Time Control systems.
At least 1 year experience of working with modelling systems in Python, Matlab (and Matlab Simulink) and MILP tools.
Fluent oral and written communication skills in English.

SELECTION CRITERIA
Adequacy of the candidate's training to the requested profile.
Work experience related to the profile of the job position.
Knowledge of English.
Motivation for accomplishing high-quality research.

CONDITIONS

Remuneration: Between 38.000 € – 41.000€ per year, depending upon qualification and expertise.
*The contract includes all the benefits of the Spanish Public Health and Social Security System.

Duration of the contract: Until the end of the project, with the possibility of extension.
